First Green, 2019

Just as a bud encloses a developing flower, cupboards keep our possessions safe. The design of this case-piece draws inspiration from Karl Blossfeldt’s close-up photographs of plant life. It reflects the geometry of biological forms while drawing attention to the cupboard’s fundamental function as a home for our objects.

Maple.

Unfurled, 2019

Picture
The design of this hanging bookshelf plays with the connection between the unfurling of plant life, and the pages or 'leaves' of a book. As with "First Green", it drew inspiration from Karl Blossfeldt's photography.

Oak.
